(Agencies)
Twelve members of the Syrian army were killed in an attack launched by an armed group from the Islamic State (ISIS) on the Al-Sukhnah-Athria axis in the center of the country.
And local sources indicated that “all the dead soldiers were from Aleppo governorate and affiliated with the Syrian army,” after the “ISIS” elements attacked the bus that was carrying them while it was passing in the area.
“Sputnik” agency quoted the sources as saying that in addition to the dead, there are numbers of wounded (whose number has not been specified), with severe and moderate injuries, which may raise the toll to more than that.
It is noteworthy that the military and civilian buses passing through this axis have been subjected more than once to similar attacks carried out by ISIS elements from deep in the Syrian desert.
