Today, Tuesday, local media reported that the two parties (the Syrian regime and the Syrian Democratic Forces) reached an agreement to lift the siege imposed on the areas under the control of the Syrian army in Hasaka under Russian auspices.

Al-Watan newspaper, which is close to the Syrian regime, reported that the two sides reached a preliminary agreement to lift the siege of the “Qasd” movement on the areas controlled by the Syrian army in the city of Hasakah and Qamishli with Russian mediation, after meetings that took place outside Hasaka governorate.

The sources expected that the official announcement of the terms of the agreement will be made today, Tuesday, and then food and trucks will be allowed to enter Sheikh Maqsoud in Aleppo city and Tal Rifaat in the countryside of Aleppo.

The sources explained that things are going well, and there are signs to end the tension and lift the siege on the city center of Hasakah and the Halko and Tati neighborhoods in Qamishli, noting that there is a preliminary agreement and it is expected that today, fuel tanks will be brought into Tal Rifaat and Sheikh Maqsoud under Russian supervision. In return, the siege will be lifted for civilians. In Al-Hasakah.

The sources added that all the meetings took place in Aleppo and resulted in an agreement that would be implemented gradually during the coming period and in stages.

One person was killed and dozens of members of the National Defense Forces of the Syrian government were wounded in al-Hasakah governorate yesterday (Sunday), following clashes and exchanges of fire between the Syrian army and the Asayish forces of the Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria, after days of tension between the two parties.
